Photos of Irene with Easter Parade Sketches
Thanks to Christian Esquevin for sharing these beautiful photos of Irene from her MGM studio days. Below, she is holding her sketches from one of my favorite movies – Easter Parade. Irene is my grand-aunt, and admired for her work in women's fashion and Hollywood costume design. Her talent as a successful clothing designer in Los Angeles led to her long career as a costume designer for many great films in Hollywood.. until her sudden death in 1962. I hope you enjoy your visit.. ~ Karlyn
I have to admit I had absolutely no idea who Irene Lentz was nor your connection to her until I did a little research. Now I see. What a fabulous designer and she worked for some of the best. I see why you honor her in this way and have created a Facebook Fan Page.
